The Romualdo Del Bianco Foundation is a non profit organisation carrying out a social mission synthesised in its motto: "For Peace in the World, among young people of different Countries, through Culture: Meeting, Getting Acquainted, Understanding each other to develop Friendship among People". Through these few words are summarized all principles, all purposes that inspire the initiatives of the Romualdo Del Bianco Foundation, where the art and the culture become a powerful engine, an "universal vehicle" to educate, bring together, create understanding and friendship among people coming from different countries and cultures, to contribute to create a world where the values of tolerance, comprehension, friendship and of peace among peoples are universally recognised. A special attention is recognised to the relationships of co-operation with the universities from the Central and Eastern Europe, because due to different reasons (historical, political or geographical) these countries have recently shown a great interest towards a stronger European integration with and their young generations just embody this growing interest. According to these purposes, the Romualdo Del Bianco Foundation promotes each year a program of cultural initiatives and events, which are displayed on www.fondazione-delbianco.org, open to all European (Western and Eastern) universities interested therein. One of them is the EC co-funded program "Rescuing the hidden European wooden church heritage", where - in co-operation with 5 other European universities - the Romualdo Del Bianco Foundation is promoting the process of mutual exchange and co-operation in the field of the preservation and conservation of the Central European wooden religious heritage. On the whole, the Romualdo Del Bianco Foundation has provided the co-ordination of the partners' activities during the different phases of the project.
