Owner of national cultural monument (NCM) is responsible for:
- sustaining of a good technical condition of NCM
- appropriate presentation
All renovation works have to be consultated with RBMP (KPU) and have to obtain decision of this state office.
Grade / kind of this decision depend a level and amount of renovation works.
One or all kinds of research could be ordered by RBMP (KPU) before any renovation process.
According 49/2002 – research could be:
- architectural – historical
- art – historical
- archeological
Concluding report of any kind of this research have to be approved by NBMP.
Results of this research have straight influence on decision issuied NBMP which method technique a technology involve in renovation proces.

Renovation works are paid by owner of National cultural monuments.
State aid takes form of
- aimed grants - owners can apply to SM of culture
- EU development grants - when some development of regional structures can be achieved.
- help of town municipality or regional authorities.
